Oberon is the second-largest moon of the planet Uranus, with a mean radius of 761.4 km (miles) – about 0.44 times the size of our own Moon.
Oberon was discovered (along with Titania) in 1787 by William Herschel and was visited by the Voyager 2 spacecraft in 1986.
Oberon is named after the king of the fairies in the play A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare.
